WHY'S THIS PAGE LOOK SO DIFFERENT?
These are the first pages of The Cates ever created.
They were originally published 'zine style in b&w in a 4 panel per page grid
(there's that old Kirby fetish again)
and seen only by those lucky few souls who scored a limited edition copy.
Through the miracle of the internet they are, of course, in full glorious color here.
Please forgive the crude hand lettering, as in the interests of archival purity
I've preserved the original plates as they appeared from the start and added color.
